Kelly Preston, who has been mourning the death of her 16-year-old son since January, has signed on to play Miley Cyrus’ mom in the U.S. film “The Last Song.”
Preston and Greg Kinnear will appear as the estranged parents of Cyrus’ character in the big-screen adaptation of Nicholas Sparks’s novel, “The Last Song.” The film started shooting this week in Georgia.
Wow – the two surely look like they could be mother and daugther!
Preston’s son, Jett, with her husband, actor John Travolta, died of a seizure disorder during a family holiday in the Bahamas.
Neither Preston nor Travolta have made many public appearances since.
Travolta and Cyrus previously lent their voices to animated characters in the movie “Bolt.”
