No criminal charges for Tiger Woods but he’s being cited for careless driving. Tiger crashed his 2009 Cadillac SUV into a fire hydrant and a tree. In Florida such a citation translates into a $100 so dollar fine and some points on his license.
There was insufficient evidence to request a subpoena for medical information in the case, said Sgt. Kim Montes, an FHP spokeswoman. There were no claims of domestic abuse. “With the issuance of this citation, the Florida Highway Patrol has completed its investigation into this matter,” she said.
Authorities don’t know why Tiger was driving away from his house around 2:30 am Friday. State troopers have asked to question the golfer on three separate times about the accident, but Tiger isn’t interested in talking.
