TMZ posted images of a happy McNair & Kazemi on vacation together about three months ago.  Details emerging about their death suggest a murder / suicide however Kazemi’s family said she would never harm anyone and likely didn’t know how to fire a gun.

McNair, who led the famous Tennessee Titans’ drive that came a yard short of forcing overtime in the 2000 Super Bowl, was found dead on a sofa in the living room Saturday with multiple gunshot wounds, including one to the head. His friend, Sahel Kazemi, was very close to him on the floor, killed by a single gunshot. A pistol was discovered near her, but police said it took a while to find the firearm.

Details are emerging about the Former Tennessee Titans quarterback Steve McNair’s death, it appears McNair was killed in an apparent murder-suicide with a young woman who worked at an Opry Mills restaurant and who McNair has dated for months.

Authorities didn’t immediately say who was to blame for the killings, but they weren’t looking for any suspects.

“We expect to make additional conclusions after the autopsy process,” Aaron said

Though much of the attention was on the Second Avenue crime scene, police also swarmed Kazemi’s apartment at the Cherry Creek complex in Hermitage on Saturday. They questioned neighbors who said they often saw McNair visiting Kazemi. Sometimes, neighbors said, she would arrive home in a limousine in the early morning. They also heard arguments between her and her boyfriend.

Kazemi was arrested in a black 2007 Cadillac Escalade registered to her and McNair, early Thursday at Broadway and Ninth Avenue, just two days before the deaths. She was charged with driving under the influence and refusing to take a breath test. She told police she was not drunk, but high.

McNair was in the car when Kazemi was arrested, a fact that was not in the police affidavit but was confirmed by police Saturday night.

Police allowed McNair to take a cab home. He later bailed Kazemi out of jail, according to bail bondsmen.
