I just learned of a Twitter petition seeking the removal of celebrity blogger Perez Hilton as a FOX Teen Choice 2009 Nominee. I didn’t know he was a nominee but I’m surely joining the fight for Hilton’s removal, I hope you consider joining us.
Don’t think your voice won’t help, a few passionate voices started the trail that ended with David Letterman’s apology to Sarah Palin.
By the way, stay focused, my comment about Letterman isn’t a statement about the apology, it’s a statement about our power as an audience.
From the Twitter Petition:
It is entirely inappropriate for Perez Hilton to be a nominee for the Teen Choice Awards because his website is completely not appropriate for teens. At the moment, his “lead” story includes graphic, uncensored gay pornographic shots posted for access by anyone, regardless of age.
I’m not asking for censorship of Hilton’s blog, he has the right to express himself in whatever manner he chooses.
I’m not asking for your blind support, this post contains several images from from Perez’s blog. Look at images and decide for yourself whether Perez is an appropriate nominee for a national media outlet’s Teen (and you can be sure pre-teen & younger) Choice Awards.
From the FOX Teen Choice nominee list:

Perez Hilton:

From Perez Hilton’s Blog:

(by the way “DILF” means Dad I’d Like to F***)

( yes, he drew nipples on Kate from John & Kate Plus 8 )
