The wild-styled singer fired back at her former producer Friday in a lawsuit saying he’s the one who broke the law by duping her into signing an illegal contract.

Lady Gaga’s ex-lover and producer, Rob Fusari, sued the singer for more than $30 million on Thursday, claiming he came up with her stage name and co-wrote some of her hit songs.

But Gaga’s lawsuit says the contract between her and Fusari is invalid because Fusari was not a licensed talent agent.

Not only do Gaga’s lawyers want Fusari’s suit thrown out, they want him to pay damages to the superstar singer for trying to take advantage of an “inexperienced performing artist.”

Fusari made Lady Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, “enter into an unlawful arrangement” when he made her sign a contract giving him rights to her future earnings, the suit says, calling his actions “predatory and financially abusive.”

“The … arrangement was structured in such a way as to mask its true purpose – to provide the defendant unlawful compensation for their services as unlicensed employment agents,” the suit says.

Germanotta and Fusari met in March 2006 when he was looking for a female rocker with “garage band chops,” according to his lawsuit.

The producer, who worked with Destiny’s Child on “Bootylicious,” says he persuaded Germanotta to add dance beats to her music and call herself Lady Gaga.

Fusari’s lawyer, Robert Meloni, called the claim “ludicrous” when he read the suit last night.

“Rob was no more of an ‘agent’ for her than she is a Roman Catholic nun,” Meloni said.

Flavor Flav, 50, real name William Drayton, is a member of legendary rap group Public Enemy, and lately has starred in several seasons of VH1′s reality show “Flavor of Love.” The state of California filed an $183,810 lien against Drayton on Sept. 17 in Sacramento County Court. Flavor Flav could not be reached for comment. His manager said he forwarded an e-mail message to the rapper.

At Philippe restaurant in West Hollywood early this morning. Quaid, his wife Kimberly and a friend walked outside where valet had already brought their car.

The motor was running, they got in and Quaid got behind the wheel.

He turned the wheel a matter of inches but had not yet shifted it into drive when a local policeman pulled up alongside and urged the actor to call a cab.

Dennis responded that he didn’t want to drive. The cop repeatedly said, “Get out of the car.” Quaid responded, “What do you want me to do.” He then grew some brain cells and asked if they could go back in the restaurant and the cop said yes.

The Quaids did end up taking a cab home and he came back for the car a short while ago. Interestingly, he could have been arrested from a legal standpoint.

The car was on and he was behind the wheel, but the police officer used his discretion and decided not to pursue it. Maybe he should thank the paparazzi.

Members of the celebrity gossip media mobbing the scene joked with Quaid, saying “You don’t want a DUI. You don’t want to end up like Mel Gibson!”

Hard to argue with that.

Good to see Dennis make the right choice in the end … even if it caused a scene and took more than a little cajoling. All’s well that ends well, right?

Besides, even if he had been arrested and tossed in the drunk tank overnight, Randi and Evi Quaid would still be the black sheep of the family.

The husband and wife acting duo will return to “All My Children” for the show’s 40th Anniversary episode, Brian Frons president, Daytime, Disney-ABC Television, announced on Friday.

This will be the first time either actor has appeared on the show since they left in 2002. The milestone special episodes will air on January 4 and 5, 2010.

Kelly’s current daily TV home, “LIVE! With Regis and Kelly,” will cover the couple’s return to Pine Valley with an exclusive first look that will air on the popular morning talk show in November.

Kelly first joined the cast of “All My Children” in 1990, originating the role of Hayley Vaughan – and later — Santos. In 1995 Consuelos made his debut as Mateo Santos. The characters quickly became one of daytime television most popular super couples both on screen and off. In fact, it was their meeting on “All My Children” that brought this real-life couple together.

Kelly and Mark have been married for 14 years and three children together.

“All My Children” will celebrate its 40th Anniversary on January 5, 2010.

Director Roman Polanski was arrested by Swiss police as he flew in for the Zurich Film Festival and faces possible extradition to the United States for having sex with a 13-year-old girl in 1977, authorities said Sunday.

Polanski was scheduled to receive an honorary award at the festival when he was apprehended Saturday at the airport, the Swiss Justice Ministry said in a statement. It said U.S. authorities have sought the arrest of the 76-year-old director around the world since 2005.

“There was a valid arrest request and we knew when he was coming,” ministry spokesman Guido Balmer told The Associated Press. “That’s why he was taken into custody.”

Polanski, the director of such classic films as “Chinatown” and “Rosemary’s Baby,” fled the U.S. for France in 1978, a year after pleading guilty to unlawful sexual intercourse with the underage girl.

Polanski has asked a U.S. appeals court in California to overturn a judges’ refusal to throw out his case. He claims misconduct by the now-deceased judge who had arranged a plea bargain and then reneged on it.

His victim, Samantha Geimer, who long ago identified herself publicly, has joined in Polanski’s bid for dismissal, saying she wants the case to be over. She sued Polanski and reached an undisclosed settlement.

Justice Minister Eveline Widmer-Schlumpf said the director will remain in Zurich until the conclusion of the extradition proceedings. The United States now has 60 days to file a formal request for Polanski’s transfer, she said.

A U.S. Justice Department spokeswoman in Washington declined to comment on the case Sunday.

Polanski’s French lawyer, Georges Kiejman, told France-Inter radio that it was “too early to know” if Polanski would be extradited.

“The proceedings must take their course,” he said Sunday. “For now we are trying to have the arrest warrant lifted in Zurich.”

Kiejman later told The Associated Press that France does not extradite its citizens and that U.S. authorities had never asked France to prosecute Polanski at home.

Balmer said Polanski’s arrest was not influenced by politics, even though the director has often traveled or stayed in the country. Novelist Robert Harris, whose book “Ghost” is being made into a movie by the director, told Britain’s Press Association that Polanski owns a house in Gstaad, which he has visited regularly while filming in Germany, and that there was never any warning he faced arrest.

In the Swiss capital of Bern, Widmer-Schlumpf told reporters that Switzerland had only one legal option for dealing with Polanski’s visit, and rejected the idea that there was any U.S. pressure in ordering the arrest.

“I know his films, they impressed me very much,” she said, but she underlined that Polanski could not be given special treatment because of his artistic talent, especially because the warrant was not for a trivial complaint.

Switzerland joined Europe’s passport-free area in 2008 and ended all passport checks in March on flights to and from the 24 other countries participating in the agreement. Even before then, it rarely closely monitored the identities of travelers from neighboring European countries entering Switzerland.

Balmer also rejected that the arrest was somehow aimed at winning favor with the U.S. after a series of bilateral spats over tax evasion and wealthy Americans stashing money at Swiss banking giant UBS AG.

“There is no link with any other issues in question,” he told The AP.

Investigators in the U.S. learned of Polanski’s planned trip days ago, giving them enough time to lay the groundwork for an arrest, said William Sorukas, chief of the U.S. Marshals Service’s domestic investigations branch.

“There have been other times through the years when we have learned of his potential travel but either those efforts fell through or he didn’t make the trip,” Sorukas told the AP.

Earlier this year, Superior Court Judge Peter Espinoza in Los Angeles dismissed Polanski’s bid to throw out the case because the director failed to appear in court to press his request, but said there was “substantial misconduct” in the handling of the original case.

In his ruling, Espinoza said he reviewed not only legal documents, but also watched the HBO documentary, “Roman Polanski: Wanted and Desired,” which suggests there was behind-the-scenes manipulations by a now-retired prosecutor who was not assigned to the case.

Polanski has lived for the past three decades in France, where his career has continued to flourish; he received a directing Oscar in absentia for the 2002 movie “The Pianist.” He is married to French actress Emanuelle Seigner, with whom he has two children.

He has avoided traveling to countries likely to extradite him. For instance, he testified by video link from Paris in a 2005 libel trial in London against Vanity Fair magazine. He did not want to enter Britain for fear of being arrested.

Rolf Haferkamp, a spokesman for prosecutors in Duisburg, Germany, declined to comment on why Polanski was not detained or arrested in Germany when he visited in 2008.

In Paris, Culture Minister Frederic Mitterrand said that he was in contact with French President Nicolas Sarkozy “who is following the case with great attention and shares the minister’s hope that the situation can be quickly resolved.”

Mitterrand added that he was “dumbfounded” by Polanski’s arrest, adding that he “strongly regrets that a new ordeal is being inflicted on someone who has already experienced so many of them.”

Those comments referred, in part, to the fact that Polanski, a native of France who was taken to Poland by his parents, escaped Krakow’s Jewish ghetto as a child during World War II and lived off the charity of strangers. His mother died at the Nazis’ Auschwitz death camp.

Polanski worked his way into filmmaking in Poland, gaining an Oscar nomination for best foreign-language film in 1964 for his “Knife in the Water.” Offered entry to Hollywood, he directed the classic “Rosemary’s Baby” in 1968.

But his life was shattered again in 1969 when his wife, actress Sharon Tate, and four other people were gruesomely murdered in Los Angeles by followers of cult figure Charles Manson. Tate was eight months pregnant at the time.

Polanski went on to make another American classic, “Chinatown,” released in 1974.

In 1977, he was accused of raping the teenager while photographing her during a modeling session. The girl said Polanski plied her with champagne and part of a Quaalude pill at Jack Nicholson’s house while the actor was away. She said that, despite her protests, he performed oral sex, intercourse and sodomy on her.

Polanski was allowed to plead guilty to one of six charges, unlawful sexual intercourse, and was sent to prison for 42 days of evaluation.

Lawyers agreed that would be his full sentence, but the judge tried to renege on the plea bargain. Aware the judge would sentence him to more prison time and require his voluntary deportation, Polanski fled.

Zurich Film Festival organizers said Polanski’s detention had caused “shock and dismay,” but said they would go ahead with Sunday’s planned retrospective of the director’s work, including “Knife in the Water,” “Chinatown” and “The Pianist.” The festival runs from Sept. 24 to Oct. 4.

The Swiss Directors Association sharply criticized authorities for what it deemed “not only a grotesque farce of justice, but also an immense cultural scandal.”

France’s Foreign Ministry said the French ambassador to Switzerland and the consul general in Zurich have contacted Swiss authorities about arranging a consular visit for Polanski.

Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner spoke to his Swiss counterpart, Micheline Calmy-Rey, to urge that “Polanski’s rights be fully respected and that the case would quickly result in a favorable outcome,” the statement said.

The ‘Jennifer’s Body’ actress – who is widely regarded as the world’s most beautiful woman – was overwhelmed by how influential her looks and body could be and was unsure how to use her attractive assets to her advantage.

She told People magazine: “I think initially it’s sort of overwhelming because little girls are very much exposed to sexuality through the media and the entertainment industry and advertisements. So when you realise that you have the same power that you’ve watched women who’ve come before you have, it is frightening and you don’t know what to do with it.

“I don’t think you ever get comfortable with it. It’s a strange, an almost supernatural thing.”

However, the 23-year-old beauty – who has an on/off romance with actor Brian Austin Green – has not always been popular with men.

She explained: “I was not ‘the sh*t’ in high school. I was not an outcast but I didn’t have a ton of friends. I got picked on, and I ate lunch in the bathroom because I was afraid of being picked on in the cafeteria. I was a loner, and I think that’s OK.

“I think it’s perfectly acceptable not to run with cliques.”

Megan recently admitted she finds it “awful” how women fight for male attention.

She said: “Girls are awful. But I think girls are awful because of the way society is set up and that we’re forced to constantly be in competition for male attention. I think we’re raised the wrong way with the wrong standards and our fathers raise us wrong. And so we search the rest of our lives for boys to pay attention to validate us.”

“Artists that I didn’t even assume knew who I was [have supported me],” Swift, 19, told Elvis Duran during an interview on his Z100 radio show Friday. “I woke up the next day and I had flowers in my hotel room from Janet Jackson.

“I am blown away by all the love that was thrown in my direction,” she said, “and feel very lucky and blessed to have people come and support me like that.” (West also subsequently apologized to the singer.)

Kelly Clarkson, who penned an angry blog directed at West, was among the teen star’s most vocal supporters. “Kelly’s amazing,” Swift said. “I’d love to work with her. We should write a song together. I love how honest and real she is. She speaks her mind, and I think it’s a beautiful thing.”

Another celebrity on Swift’s radar: Twilight hunk Taylor Lautner, who was rumored to have a crush on her.

“I’d be on Team Tay,” she said. “I love him. He’s so cute.”

On a brilliantly sunny day on Governors Island in New York Harbor, the 24-year-old prince drew a crowd that included stars like Madonna, actresses Kate Hudson and Chloe Sevigny, and rapper LL Cool J, but also lots of ordinary New Yorkers out for a rare sight: a polo game in the city.

“You see this out in the Hamptons, but not so much in the city,” said Vincent Hodgins of Manhattan, who brought his two sons to watch the prince play.

The Veuve Clicquot Manhattan Polo Classic was a fundraiser for Sentebale, the charity that Harry has set up with Prince Seeiso of Lesotho to help poor children and AIDS orphans in that small African nation surrounded by South Africa.

“Prince Seeiso and I both lost our mothers when we were very young,” Harry said in brief remarks before the match. “We set up Sentebale in their memory, and because my mother loved this city, it makes this occasion all the more poignant for me.”

His team, named after the charity, proceeded to defeat the opposing Black Watch team 6-5. Harry assisted on the winning goal in the last seconds, drawing the biggest cheer of the afternoon. Both teams included prominent polo stars like Argentine Nacho Figueras, also a Ralph Lauren model, who played for Black Watch.

It was the second and final day of Harry’s first official visit to the United States, which began with a sober visit Friday to the site of the Sept. 11 terrorist attack. On Saturday morning, the prince toured Harlem’s Children Zone, a community organization that offers families social and educational services. He and Prince Seeiso chatted with students working preparing for a Regents Exam.

“Who’s the best pupil?” Harry asked the ninth-graders. “I was always the worst!”
Harry, the son of Prince Charles and Princess Diana, is third in line to the British throne, after his father and older brother, William. He’s been dubbed the “party prince,” and his New York trip seemed designed partly to counter that image with a focus on his charity work.
“I won’t bore you with statistics, but please believe me when I say that Lesotho is a mere microcosm of what is so wonderful, but also so tragic about Africa today,” he said before the match, reading from notes. “This beautiful kingdom has been ravaged by HIV/AIDS and poverty, leaving thousands of children without their parents.”

The event was free to the public, but guests in the VIP tent on the opposite side of the field had paid from $50,000 a table down to $500 a head to picnic on the lawn. In true polo-watching fashion, there were more hats than at an Easter parade; for the women, they were topped by flowers, feathers and even butterflies climbing up a wire trellis.
Harry, though, was casual before the match in a navy blue blazer, open-collared shirt and white jeans, and loafers. And Madonna, accompanied by her sons, Rocco and David, was positively dressed down: She wore jeans and a denim jacket as she chatted with designer Marc Jacobs.

In the bleachers, Mike Hallman, visiting the city from Cary, N.C., enjoyed the match with his family. “My kids have never seen polo before,” he said. Added his 9-year-old son, Jason: “It’s pretty exciting. I have never seen a prince.”
Another spectator who’d never seen a polo match was LL Cool J.
“Hopefully, it’ll be quite good,” Harry told the singer during the reception.
“Are you going to win?” LL Cool J asked. “Mmmm. I don’t know. Hopefully it’s fixed,” joked Harry.

The prince also said his visit had been “wonderful.”

“It’s been a whirlwind,” he told The Associated Press. “I haven’t had a chance to let the jet lag set in, and it’s time to go already.”

But his trip wasn’t over after the match: Leaving Governors Island, the prince took a Coast Guard cutter up the Hudson River for an unannounced visit to the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum on Manhattan’s west side.

He inspected the World War II aircraft carrier and checked out the cockpit of a retired British Airways Concorde jet. Museum president Bill White said the staff presented the prince with a section of the 1943 carrier’s original wooden flight deck. Also present was a British Marine commando, Joe Townsend, who lost both legs while on duty in Afghanistan.

The prince’s visit began Friday morning with a prayerful stop at ground zero. There, he spent about 15 minutes quietly speaking to a half-dozen relatives of 9/11 victims.
Harry then attached a wreath to a chain-link fence overlooking the Sept. 11 memorial under construction, bowing his head in silence for a few minutes. He also visited the firehouse across the street that houses Engine 10 and Ladder 10, which lost five members on Sept. 11, talking and laughing with firefighters there.

Later Friday, Harry formally named the British Memorial Garden in Hanover Square downtown to honor the 67 British victims of the terrorist attack. He also visited Manhattan’s Veterans Affairs Medical Center, touring a clinic that treats veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder and the prosthetics facilities.
