She was scheduled to perform at a Kuala Lumpur stadium Oct. 25 but the show “has been postponed to a future date to be announced shortly,” Malaysian entertainment company Marctensia said in a statement.

“The postponement is solely (the) decision of the artist and has nothing to do with other external reasons,” the statement said.

A Marctensia representative declined to say whether the decision was prompted by criticism from the Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party, the country’s largest opposition group, which has called for the show to be scrapped because it would promote “Western sexy performances.”

Knowles also canceled a planned performance in Malaysia in 2007 following protest threats by the opposition Islamic party. At the time, her talent agency said the show was called off due to a scheduling conflict.

Instead, Knowles went to Indonesia, also a largely Muslim country, which has less stringent rules about how performers should dress and behave. Female artists at Malaysian concerts are required by government rules to cover up from the shoulders to knees, with no cleavage showing.

Last month, Marctensia addressed concerns that Knowles might wear inappropriate outfits, saying “all parties have come to an amicable understanding” about stage costumes.

Other female pop stars such as Avril Lavigne and Gwen Stefani have performed in Malaysia despite similar protest threats by conservative Muslims. Both singers wore clothes that revealed little skin.

Alexsandra Wright, late 30s, filed a parental case in the L.A. County Superior Court naming the senior Knowles as the respondent.

When reached for comment by various media sources, the entire Knowles family as well as Mathew Knowles remained unavailable for comment.

Randy Jackson says he is excited to have Ellen DeGeneres joining the “American Idol” judges’ panel this season.

Fox announced Wednesday DeGeneres would be Paula Abdul’s permanent replacement on the show, joining Jackson, Simon Cowell and Kara DioGuardi on the panel that sits in judgment of would-be singing stars.

Abdul and the show’s producers reportedly couldn’t agree on the terms of a new contract.

“Yo baby You know we got love,” Jackson told TV’s “Extra,” adding he is “so happy” about DeGeneres joining the “Idol” cast.

“It’s going go be fun. We’re gonna rock the house every night” he said. “Ellen’s gonna be rockin’, man.”

The new season of the singing competition series begins in January.

Said Solange:

“I get asked about Beyonce all the time but I try and make fun of it. Sometimes I say she’s not my sister. Other times I say I’ve stuffed her in my suitcase and sent it to Dubai. I have to have fun with it or I’ll turn into Britney – shave my head and go totally crazy.”

Solange, who showed off her new look in LA yesterday, wrote on her Twitter page she was going through a “I wanna cut all my hair off” phase.

Music World/Columbia Records said the fete scheduled for last Saturday at the Manhattan club M2 was scrapped as a result of a breach of contract by the party’s promoter.

“Beyonce never had a contract with the club itself and no one in her camp dealt directly with the venue,” her label said in a statement. “The superstar was never scheduled to perform, but was to serve as a co-host and introduce singer/songwriter Solange’s performance. Patrons were falsely promised a performance by Beyonce.”

However, M2 owner Joey Morrissey told The New York Post he agreed to pay Beyonce $200,000 for the event, but was informed last Wednesday she wouldn’t be performing.

Morrissey said he is considering suing Beyonce’s camp because he spent $100,000 preparing for a show that didn’t happen.

“They said they were too busy with the launching of the tour and that they wouldn’t have time to do the kickoff party,” the club owner told the Post last week, adding the singer’s representatives offered to have her make an appearance at the party, but not sing at it.

“I mean, we sold tables for thousands of dollars for the show, and spent $100,000 renting a soundboard and other equipment, as per their stipulations. What good does her showing up for an hour do me? They’ve been totally unwilling to agree to another show.”
