Film director Danny Boyle has flown to Mumbai on a rescue mission to rehouse the two child stars of Slumdog Millionaire.
He has traveled out with producer Christian Colson after hearing the children’s illegal slum homes have been bulldozed by the city authorities.
A trust has been set up to pay for the education and basic living expenses of the pair until they’re 18.
Shortly after arriving, Boyle said he would be pushing through his plan to buy the two families flats in Mumbai.
