Forest Whitaker & 50 Cent to Re-Make The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde

Thursday, October 8th, 2009

http://hostphotofree.comForest Whitaker & 50 Cent negotiate to make a the modern day adaptation of the 1886 novel The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.

Forest is hopeful he can come to an agreement with movie bosses and get involved with the “interesting” script.

Whitaker  says “We’re still figuring out what we’re going to do, if I am going to be doing that or not. If I end up doing it, I would be playing Jekyll and he <50> would be playing Hyde.”

“It’s a father-son kind of relationship. It’s also an interesting script because we are dealing with similar things.

Jekyll has a lot of issues and problems personally. Hidden passions, hidden perversions – and it is acted out by 50.”

Jekyll and Hyde will closely follow the original storyline – written by Robert Louis Stevenson – which focuses on troubled Dr. Jekyll’s battle with right and wrong.

After drinking a chemical potion, a younger and crueller version of the medic, Mr. Hyde, emerges.

Forest added: “Abel Ferrara directs it. It would be very classic. They just turned in a new draft. It’s based on the book really strongly. It will be interesting to play Jekyll.”

50 Cent pens book on how to get rich

Monday, July 27th, 2009

The 50th Law (Hardcover)Fiddy and business guru Robert Greene have penned The 50th Law, which promises to reveal “how the power game of success can be played to your advantage”.

With chapters such as “Turn Shit Into Sugar-Opportunism” and “Hood Economics”, it’s safe to say it will take a street-level approach to business when it’s published this autumn.

Publisher Andrew Franklin said: “Those who dismiss 50 Cent as a gangster should rethink, his continued presence in the Forbes rich list and entrepreneurial nous show there is a lot more to the man than his music.”

The Grammy-winner will launch the guide by taking part in a debate at the Oxford Union later this year.

Rappers like Greene. Both Kayne West & Young Buck have name-checked his 1998 business guide, The 48 Laws Of Power, in song.

The book urges budding business leaders to “conceal your intentions” and “crush your enemy totally”.
