My girl @mixtapetina from thatcrack.com told me her nieces were joking about a ringtone phenomenon in the ‘younger set.’
Apparently as we age we lose the ability to hear higher frequency tones, capitalizing teeny boppers are using high frequency ring tones to ‘dupe’ their parents and teachers.
Tina & I were wondering whether people in the music industry lose high frequency hearing faster.
T was nice enough to upload the tones as a ‘non-mixtape, mixtape’ so we could test our theory. Here are the tones labeled by the age that should be able to hear the tone.
Leave me a comment with your age, whether you’re an artist or DJ and at what ‘track age’ you can no longer hear the tones.
