Sharon Tate’s sister Debra says her deceased sister’s former husband, Roman Polanski, will “never get a fair trial” if extradition to the U.S. over a crime that took place 32 years ago moves forward. Tate revealed in an “NBC Today” show Wednesday that sex with the then 13-year-old girl had to have been consensual.

Polanski fled the United States in 1977 after charges were brought against the film director for raping a minor at the home of Jack Nicholson. The director was arrested in Zurich Switzerland on Saturday where he is fight extradition to the United States.
Debra Tate revealed that Polanski was not the kind of person that would raped anyone, that the sex between Roman and then 13-year-old Samantha Geimer “had to have been consensual.”
Geimer, now 44, says she just wants the whole thing to just go away.
Years ago, Polanski bought off Geimer, settling out of court in a civil suit. Now Polanski’s being forced to appear before the U.S. judicial system where the Courts have not been too kind to celebrity child abuse, except for those who’ve had enough money to buy their way out of kiddie porn charges, like the late Michael Jackson. Yet for Polanski, buying silence after so many years may be to his benefit – that is if the Justice Department ends up getting their hands on the world famous director and extraditing him.
Geimer has already stated publicly that she is against the whole case, that the charges against Polanski “should be dropped.”
Without Geimer, the prosecution will have a tough time convicting Roman Polanski of forcing himself sexually on a then 13-year-old girl.
It hasn’t helped Polanski that Woody Allen has been vocalizing in support of the director considering Allen’s own past with his then-adopted daughter whom he also had sexual relations with that caused the breakup of his marriage. Sources close to Roman say he said, “I wish Woody would just shut up and mind his own business!”
