50 Cent’s G-Unit bandmates have been left in awe of the rap superstar’s popularity after Eminem made it five weeks atop the U.S. albums chart on Wednesday (28Jul10) with his comeback record Recovery.

The Not Afraid hitmaker racked up first week sales of 741,000, earning him his sixth consecutive number one on the Billboard 200, while his Rihanna song Love The Way You Lie has topped the singles chart for a second week.

Banks insists Eminem’s success is down to his “cult” fan base and he’s impressed at how the superstar has managed to keep in touch with his devotees throughout his personal problems.

He tells MTV News, “I know he’s happy and I’m happy for him. It’s big. Em has a cult following and they ain’t gonna turn their backs on him…

“He brings you into his life. You know about his wife, his kids, his best friend. On that last album (Relapse), he touched on a lot of those topics and other personal things he had going on, too. A lot of people can relate to it. I feel like his music is getting more and more powerful. The messages are bigger.”

And Yayo is convinced Eminem has reaffirmed his status as a rap icon with his latest release topping charts around the world.

He says, “Eminem is like the godfather of the hip-hop game. In a time like this, when records are not selling, he’s the only one that is selling. You know, Em did close to 800,000 in his first week, and he’s number one for the fifth week. It’s incredible.

“I think he has a faithful fan base of people who have been following him for years. They’re not going to stop following him and not stop listening to his music. Em said he didn’t like his last album as much as this one… But Eminem has followers that’s gonna mess with him until the day he dies.”

But LeBlanc has a big secret bottled up. “I dyed my hair the whole time on ‘Friends,’” he admitted Thursday at a Television Critics’ Panel in Beverly Hills for his new Showtime series “Episodes.”

“I just was sick of doing it,” LeBlanc explained of darkening his locks.

And his 4-year TV hiatus was just what the doctor ordered, he said. “When ‘Joey’ ended, I took a lot of time off… I just really was kinda burned out. I just wanted to be a dad.”

LeBlanc has a 6-year-old daughter, Marina, with his ex-wife Melissa McKnight. “We have a great bond, and it’s the best thing in my life.”

On “Episodes,” LeBlanc plays a character named… Matt LeBlanc. “It’s a character,” he added. “It’s not me. It’s the public’s perception of me more than really me.”

Will LeBlanc reunite with “Friends” cohort Courteney Cox for a cameo on her ABC hit “Cougar Town”? “I haven’t been asked!” he admitted, laughing.

Most weddings host about 150 guests; the Clinton-Mezvinsky nuptials are expected to have 400 to 500.

Details have been notoriously scarce, but Sally Kilbridge, deputy editor of Brides, said industry insiders have gathered enough intelligence to sketch out roughly what sort of shindig the daughter of President Bill Clinton and Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton will put on when she marries her longtime boyfriend, investment banker Marc Mezvinsky.

Some estimates put the cost at close to $5 million, but Kilbridge said Chelsea Clinton won’t let it get too extreme.

“I’m going to say 2 to 3 million,” Kilbridge said. “Just because I don’t know if they will go that over the top when it comes to every little item of the wedding, and possibly because it’s not really Chelsea Clinton’s style.”

Kilbridge estimated costs for some of the higher-profile items:

• Gown by Vera Wang, whose New York store Chelsea was photographed visiting: $20,000 — not off the rack, obviously.

• Cake, possibly by Sylvia Weinstock: $20,000. Expect intricate, fabulous designs.

• Flowers: $250,000. “It’s going to be glamorous with a capital G,” she said. (And this isn’t even that much, she said: Donald Trump laid out $500,000 for flowers when he married Melania.)

• Catering: $750,000. Add another $30,000 for beverages.

• Tents: $600,000. These, she joked, guarantee it will not rain.

• Portable toilets: $15,000-$20,000. These will not be construction-site facilities. Think air conditioning, attendants, flowers.

• Entertainment: $40,000.

“It’s obviously a large wedding,” said Darcy Miller, editorial director of Martha Stewart Weddings. “But knowing what we do about Chelsea, she seems to be understated, someone who has tried to stay out of the crowds, someone who has tried to have her own life.”

Miller also brought up the logistics and realities to confront.

It’s a destination wedding where everything from guests to flowers to the wine will be shipped in from afar. So, they’ve got to keep the flowers cool, the guests and staff fed, quartered and cool. The stylist needs a room for the night. So does the makeup artist and photographer. Bring enough to tip the wait staff needed to keep 500 A-listers well-served. Valets? Flooring? Lights?

Cha-ching.

For those worried about how the Clintons will finance the celebration, fear not: Chelsea’s parents are, conservatively, worth tens of millions of dollars. The former president raked in $40 million in six years just from speaking engagements — upwards of $10 million alone in 2006. Of course, this assumes they’ll pay for the party.

Chris Tucker’s ongoing tax problems have reached epic proportions as documents filed with the L.A. County Recorder’s office on Tuesday show the actor owes the IRS more than $11 million in back taxes.

The years in question are 2001, 2002 and 2004 through 2006. Tucker, best known for his role as detective James Carter in the Rush Hour franchise opposite Jackie Chan, owes over $4 million for 2001 alone. The actor has not commented.

This isn’t the first time Tucker has had issues with paying taxes. California also filed a tax lien on June 24 against the star for over $3.5 million dollars for four years worth of unpaid taxes.

Many celebrities do not handle their own finances. It is unclear if Tucker files his own tax returns.

Nicolas Cage reportedly owes the IRS some $14 million for taxes unpaid in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2007 and 2008. He has blamed an irresponsible financial adviser and has promised to pay his debts.

Actor and comedian Sinbad reportedly owes more than $8 million in delinquent taxes. In 2009, the IRS filed a tax lien of about $1.7 million against actress Pamela Anderson and the State of California filed a $252,360 lien against her.

In 2007, singer Marc Anthony, husband of Jennifer Lopez, agreed to pay $2.5 million in back taxes, interest and penalties after he failed to file tax returns for five years.

Actor Wesley Snipes recently lost an appeal of a three-year prison sentence for failing to file income tax returns between 1999 and 2001 after a court recently upheld his 2008 conviction, and the actor appears to be headed for jail.

The automaker said the production version of the high-performance hybrid will be assembled in limited numbers at its home plant in Zuffenhausen, just outside Stuttgart.

An official statement released Wednesday said the company has received an “overwhelming response” from the public to the 918 Spyder concept. Earlier reports indicated Porsche had received expressions of interest from more than 900 buyers.

Porsche did not specify a production start-up date or a price tag, although widespread media reports in Europe have suggested the sticker could exceed $600,000.
