Troy Polamalu is the man with the million dollar hair. The long, flowing black hair that tumbles out of Polamalu’s helmet and down his back _ it’s nearly three feet long _ has been insured for $1 million by Head and Shoulders, the shampoo brand that is endorsed by the Pittsburgh Steelers safety.

The insurance was obtained through Lloyd’s of London, which did not reveal what must be done to Polamalu’s hair for anyone to collect on the policy.

Polamalu’s hair has been targeted by an opposing NFL player at least once _ the Chiefs’ Larry Johnson tackled Polamalu by the hair during a 49-yard interception return in a 2006 game.

Polamalu, a five-time Pro Bowl player, wears his hair long as a tribute to his Samoan heritage.

The builders who took away the white and blue lavatory were told to “put some flowers in it or something,” according to the auction catalog.

Builder John Hancock stored it in his shed for 40 years until he died recently and the lavatory was sent for sale, British media reports said.

The toilet was among Beatles memorabilia sold at auction as part of the Beatle week festival in Liverpool, the group’s native city in northwest England. The pre-auction estimate was 750 to 1,000 pounds.

Anne-Marie Trace, who works at the Beatles Shop in Liverpool which organized the sale, said the high price paid had taken the organizers by surprise.

“I think it’s the most unusual item we’ve ever had in our auction,” she told Reuters.

The buyer was not identified but Trace said it was likely it was “going overseas.”

Las Vegas – Police arrested Paris Hilton on cocaine possession charges late Friday night after stopping the car she was in on a Las Vegas street, authorities said.

The socialite was booked into the Clark County Detention Center early Saturday on the cocaine charge, Las Vegas police spokesman Marcus Martin said. She was released before dawn on her own recognizance.

The 29-year-old Hilton was in a car driven by a friend when it was stopped about 11:30 p.m. MDT Friday after officers detected what they suspected to be marijuana smoke wafting from it.

“Officers noticed a vehicle leaving smoke trail of a controlled substance and made a stop based on that,” Martin said. That is typical police talk for they smelled weed and decided to arrest somebody. A smoke trail are you kidding me , like a  cheech and chong movie,

During the stop, officers found what appeared to be a drug on Hilton and later tests showed that it was cocaine, Martin said. He didn’t know how much was found.

He said Hilton was apparently recognized by passers-by and a crowd quickly gathered in the area where the vehicle had been pulled over.

Police watch commander Lt. Wayne Holman said Hilton released early Saturday morning. He didn’t know how long she had been held nor any details about a possible court date.

He said the man who was driving the car was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of drugs. But he didn’t have any other details, including his name.

Britney apparently discussed the idea of a joint wedding while she and Jamie were at a Lady GaGa concert in Los Angeles earlier this month.

“Britney was half-joking about creating a huge, over-the-top Hollywood affair at first. But when the two couples went back to her California home, the sisters couldn’t stop talking about it,” OK! magazine reported.

Law enforcement sources confirm Hilton’s BF this week, Vegas nightclub kingpin Cy Waits told police that he and Paris heard loud banging noises coming from downstairs around 6:30 AM Tuesday so he grabbed his gun and went to check out the situation.

We’re told Cy claims he spotted Nathan Parada peering through a window and carrying two knives — a large kitchen knife and a buck hunting knife.

Cy immediately went outside with his weapon drawn and ordered Parada to drop the knives and lay on his stomach. We’re told Cy kept his gun pointed at Parada until cops arrived.

Law enforcement sources also tell us Parada told cops that he had purchased a Star Map on Hollywood Blvd. hours before the incident because he wanted to find out where Paris lived.

We’re told Parada who was booked for felony burglary is currently in custody on a 5150 psychiatric hold.

Sources close to Paris tell us ever since the incident, Hilton’s security team has installed several new cameras around the home … as well as infrared technology designed to spot intruders. Paris has also hired two new bodyguards to protect her around the clock.

According to our sources, Paris has told friends, “Thank God Cy was there, he saved my life.”
