R&B singer Faith Evans was arrested on Saturday at a Los Angeles–area checkpoint for suspicion of a misdemeanor drunken-driving charge.
The Grammy Award-winning widow of iconic rapper Christopher Wallace, aka Notorious B.I.G., was held for just a few hours at a police station near Marina Del Rey, then released on bail. Police, however, did impound her vehicle.

The 37-year-old occasional actress is no stranger to arrest. Back in 2004, she and her husband, Todd Russaw, a record company executive, were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and cocaine and an improper tag violation during a routine traffic stop in a small town in Georgia.
Evans inked a reality show deal earlier this year, following her daily ups and downs. The series is called “It’s All About Faith” and will premiere in October.
After a long recording hiatus, Evans will also put out her sixth album, “Something About Faith,” which will tie in with her show’s air date.
