Scott Storch arrested for Cocaine

Thursday, February 16th, 2012

Back in 2010, Miami New Times ran a no-holds-barred expose on the life and lavish times of prolific hip-hop producer (and South Florida native) Scott Storch. As subtly alluded to via our front page illustration (see right), the Storch story involves a shit-ton of drugs. Not just any drugs, mind you. He wasn’t just smoking a lil’ weed and hitting a whip-it every now and then. No, Scott Storch — whose collaborators include Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Dr. Dre, Lil Wayne, and 50 Cent — was snorting mountains of cocaine. And according to TMZ (who heard it from the Las Vegas police department), he still is.

The celeb gossip site reports that police were responding on February 4 to a dispute between Storch and a hotel employee over the producer’s bill. Put simply, the broke-ass producer refused to pay. At the scene, cops got a tip from hotel security that Storch was coked up and they eventually dug 2.7 grams of blow out of the trash before sending Scotty straight to the clink. After posting $5,000 bond, though, Storch was back on the streets. And in typically flippant millionaire fashion, he was spotted out and about in Los Angeles this weekend, crackin’ jokes and smokin’ stogies (presumably) between trips to his favorite Hollywood Coke Emporium.

Snoop Dogg busted with weed in Texas on his tour bus

Monday, January 9th, 2012

Snoop Dogg was arrested in Texas this weekend after a drug-sniffing dog uncovered marijuana on his tour bus. Law enforcement sources said Snoop’s tour bus was stopped at a border patrol checkpoint in Sierra Blanca a small town in West Texas where Willie Nelson was popped for weed back in 2010. The border patrol ran a standard inspection of the bus with the dog when the animal alerted the agents to a possible hit in a waste basket in the back of the vehicle. The agents claim they found a red prescription bottle with several joints inside. We’re told the bottle contained under a half-ounce of weed.

Cops say Snoop admitted the dope belonged to him. Snoop has a prescription for cannabis in California, but law enforcement tells us, there is a zero tolerance policy for weed in Texas unless you are smuggling it in from Mexico then the cops will look the other way. Snoop was issued a citation for misdemeanor drug possession and released. If convicted on the drug charge, Snoop could face up to 180 days in jail.

Judge seeking the spotlight sentences Lindsay Lohan back to Jail

Wednesday, November 2nd, 2011

A judge seeking the spotlight sentenced Lindsay Lohan on Wednesday to 30 days in jail and warned the actress there would be plenty more time behind bars if she violated further court orders. Superior Court Judge Stephanie Something imposed the waste of tax payers money sentence, telling Lohan she would have to serve more than 400 hours of community service at the county morgue, undergo counseling sessions and report to court frequently to avoid further jail time. In all, Sautner sentenced Lohan to 300 days in jail for violating a court order, but said the actress would only serve the additional 270 days if there was another violation. In reality, however, the initial 30-day sentence will be significantly shortened by jail overcrowding, with Lohan likely serving only about six days. The actual length of the term will be set by the Sheriff’s Department, which oversees county lockups.
