Ultimate Fighting Championship heavyweight champion and former WWE pro wrestler Brock Lesnar is reportedly in hospital with mononucleosis and an intestinal disorder, according to UFC President Dana White, and may never fight again.
White has said Lesnar is “Very, very sick,” and will be heading to the Mayo Clinic to diagnose the problem.
Lesnar, who had traveled to his property in Canada to rest after coming down with mono, collapsed a week ago and hasn’t left his hospital room since.
White said “There’s a possibility Lesnar will never fight again,” and will be undergoing surgery soon.
White also said recently that the problem isn’t cancer or HIV, but won’t go into further details out of respect of his fighter’s privacy.
Sounds bad for the champ, but how much of this is pure marketing hype designed to sell tickets to his comeback fight?
According to MMAWeekly.com and an unnamed source from within Lesnar’s camp – a lot.
